Jeff Turner

Sergeant

Sgt. Turner is a 1993 graduate of Bethel Schools and a 1997 graduate of the Clark State Police Academy.

Sgt. Turner started with the Union City Police Department in 2017. Sgt. Turner is the owner of K-9 Solutions Dog Training Center and has donated hundreds of hours and hundreds of dollars worth of training to our K-9 program. Sgt. Turner has been training police K-9’s for several years. Sgt. Turner is currently one of the two K-9 handlers for our department. Sgt. Turner’s K-9 partner’s name is Atticus. They have been serving the community together since 2017.

Sgt. Turner’s hobbies include, jet-skiing, hunting, weightlifting, boxing and boating.

When asked why he chose a career in law enforcement, Sgt. Turner said, “I transitioned from the Fire Service to law enforcement and did both for many years. I have always had a passion for law enforcement and helping others. I feel like I have to leave my community I serve a better place than when I arrived, so I try to make a positive impact on my community every day.”
