Your New Website

Welcome to your new Village website. It has been our goal to provide you with a clean concise location for all information and goings on in your Village. For this first article from the Mayor’s Corner, I thought I would give a brief overview of the main elements. The numbers are shown in the picture at the bottom of the article.

1. Search Box: If you know exactly what you are wanting or are trying to locate a post you had read, simply type your search here. All items on the site containing your search will be displayed
2. Side Menu: This menu will be present on every page making it easy to return to the home page. Among the options are forms to let you report problems or suggestions for the site and submit event announcements to be added to the page.
3. Notices: This section will always show the most current notices for the city. Look here for notices about policies, safety, school closings, etc.
4. Weather: What site would be complete without the local weather forecast.
5. Special Interest Menu: This is the heart of the website. From this menu you will find links to just about everything the site has to offer. Feel free to check out each section and maybe learn more about your village, As of the launch of the site there may only be a few entries in each section but our hope is for it to grow. That is why we have included links to get your business, organization, or worthy cause included.
6. Subscription Form: We want you to stay informed about new posts from the site. By submitting this form, you will be added to our email list which will notify you whenever a new article is posted. Only notifications from the site will be sent so no worries about other junk.
7. Mayor’s Corner: This section will always show the latest article from yours truly. It is my desire to write to you at least once every quarter. You can always see older articles too by just clicking on the archive link.
8. Next Council Meeting: The next scheduled council meeting will always be listed here. Want to get involved in your village? Now you will know where and when to do so.
9. Featured Gallery: As the site grows we plan on adding lots of pictures. A random picture gallery will always be shown here with the option to see more.
10. Latest News: Here you will see the latest news article posted to the site. And, just like the Mayor’s Corner, you can always see older articles by checking out the archive.
11. Bottom Section: Quick views of the upcoming meetings, recent forms, links to email and our Facebook page are just some of the things you find in the bottom section. And that up arrow, that will immediately take you to the top of the page.
