Whitey’s Sinclair Service Station

Whitey’s Sinclair Service Station, in the little town of Harrisville, Indiana, where Terry Whiteneck has created a throwback Sinclair Gas Station, so complete, he even has vintage candy boxes in the glass case at the counter.

If you are wandering the country right outside of Union City, Indiana, you can take a step back in time at Whitey’s Garage. Terry Whiteneck, owner of the the two bay garage has had visitors from as far away as Japan. In the two bay repair area you will find two classic cars ready to be worked on, and in the adjoining store, you can find anything you would have needed to upkeep your car. There are also old Coke machines, snacks from the past, road maps, and everything you would have expected to find in a Sinclair gas station. It really is quite a site to see.

So, if you are traveling between Union City and Winchester Indiana on highway 32, make sure to turn North when you see the Harrisville sign. Just a hop, skip, and, a jump up the road and you will be there.

The station was even featured in The Vintage Ford Magazine volume 46 number 2.
