Jonathan Gilbert

Patrolman Jonathan Gilbert is a 2007 graduate of Mississinawa Valley High School. He graduated from Edison Community College Police Academy where he also obtained an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice.

He started his career with the Union CIty Police Department in 2010. He served on the UCO police department until 2013. He returned to the department in 2017 and still continues to serve as a part time patrolman.

He enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, canoeing, camping, weight lifting, videography, photography, woodworking, and enjoying the great outdoors.

Plt Gilbert says “As long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a law enforcement officer. I have a passion to make a difference in the community I grew up in. In this line of work, I realize the importance and significance of protecting and serving the community. We strive to help those in need and help those on the road to recovery. Law enforcement may not always be easy but if we have made a difference in one life then it is all worth it.”
